Lucy Beck

Every week we will get to know someone new on the staff of The 119. This week we talk with Lucy Beck. Lucy is a member of the Review team at The 119. She is in charge of finding new books, movies and music for her colleagues to check out. She is definitely on the cutting edge of entertainment.

Q: Lucy, good of you to speak with us. So, why should kids at FJHS read The 119?

Lucy: It is a great place for people to find out about things going on at FJHS. You’ll get to read about sports, fashion, and all things at FJHS.

Q: Ok, let’s talk about something more fun. What is your favorite imaginary animal?

Lucy: Phoenix (no hesitation on that one)

Q:What is your vision for The 119?

Lucy: I’m hoping that by the end of the year we can be a well-oiled machine where everyone can get a chance to do a different job, so the students at FJHS can get all kinds of voices.

Q: If you could trade places with anyone, who would it be, and why?

Lucy: My friend Jaclyn. She’s awesome and she has everything!

Q: Last question: If you could trademark a phrase for yourself, what would it be?

Lucy: Easy! “It’s not the person or the difference, we’re all people in the end.”
